There is a blood-less
gospel being preached all across the land. It goes like this:
"Wouldn't you like to ask (or invite) Jesus to come into your heart right now and save you? Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Or this: "Make your decision for Christ, right now."
"Make your commitment to Christ, right now."
Who preaches this gospel? Most so-called Christian churches, personal workers, preachers, gospel tracts, and religious people. Why? Because they are deceived. This is how they think they were saved, so they preach it to others. It also takes too much time and effort to preach the real gospel and get someone to understand it, so most just take a shortcut and tell someone all they have to do is just "receive Jesus." These preachers are only interested in getting another number on their church roll; they could care less about the truth -- even if they knew it.
The truth is: without blood, there is no remission (of sins), (HEBREWS 9:22).
The apostle Paul said about Jesus:

(ROMANS 3:25): …he is our propitiation through faith in his blood(!)
The apostle John said:
(REVELATION 1:5d): ...he (Jesus) washed us from our sins in his own blood(!)
Paul thought that faith in his blood was so important that he said it again in
EPHESIANS 1:7:, and in COLOSSIANS 1:14:
In whom (Jesus) we have redemption through his blood(!)
HEBREWS 13:12: ... Jesus... that he might sanctify the people with his own blood(!)
ACTS 20:28: ... church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood(!)
Not with your prayer, or invitation, or commitment.. When someone who calls himself a Christian tells a lost person, "Wouldn't you like to pray and ask (or invite) Jesus to come into your heart right now and save you?" and leaves out the blood, that lost person will always trust in his prayer, or invitation, or commitment.
When asked about his salvation, he will usually say, "I'm a Christian, I'm saved, because I asked (or invited) Jesus to come into my heart."
Or, he'll say, "On such and such a day, I made my commitment to Christ."
When questioned about the blood atonement, he'll act confused, and usually say something like this:
"What do you mean? What are you driving at?
What are you trying to say, that I'm not a Christian?"
Or something like,
"Who do you think you are that you can tell me..," etc.
There is no salvation apart from the blood atonement of Jesus Christ !
When a born again Christian preaches about the blood atonement to someone (who has prayed and asked Jesus to save him) that person will usually respond, "Well, that's what happened to me when I asked, prayed, or made my commitment. I didn't have to understand all about it."
Is that true? Let's see what the Apostle Paul says about this.
The same apostle that said,
Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,
also said in the same passage ROMANS 10:13-17 (and in fact in the next verse):
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
And in ROMANS 10: vs 17:
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
In ROMANS 10 vs 8:
...the
word of faith, which we preach(!)
This is the same apostle that 7 chapters earlier in the same letter said,
he is our propitiation through faith in his blood(!)
He assumed you would have read that revelation in ROMANS Chapter 3, vs 25.
And if you still didn't get it, he wrote it again in
EPHESIANS 1:12+13;18:
t
...first trusted in Christ. In whom ye also trusted after (not before!!!)t
that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation;t
in whom also after (not before) that ye believed,t
ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,
EPHESIANS CHAPTER 1 vs 18:
... The eyes of your understanding being enlightened.
So we have here the apostle that wrote ROMANS 10:9+10:
...whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved,
emphasizing the importance of understanding the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation!"
And even the importance of the order of salvation!
These are the words that Paul spoke: preach, word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, hearing, enlightened, understanding, believed, faith, trust, sealed. And he was very careful to put them precisely in the right order that one needs to follow before he can be saved. God wouldn't appreciate anyone taking his words out of context in ROMANS 10 to make an entire gospel out of one verse. If you can't get the order correct, you have a problem. Here it is:
1. PREACH
I CORINTHIANS 1:21
...it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
2. The
word of truth, the gospel of your salvationEPHESIANS 1:12+13;18:
(The preacher must preach the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation;
a perverted gospel will not save you. The real word will)
JAMES 1:21
…the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
3. HEAR
ROMANS 10:17
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
(You must hear the word of God, the word of truth.)
4. UNDERSTAND
You must have the eyes of your understanding enlightened!
EPHESIANS I:18
...The eyes of your understanding being enlightened.
Who does the enlightening? Jesus.
Proof?
JOHN 1:9
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
5. BELIEVE
EPHESIANS 1:12+13:
... after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
(You must believe the right gospel, and that only through this gospel can you be
born again)
6. FAITH + TRUST
Only now can you put your faith and trust in his blood,
ROMANS 3:25
...Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood,
7. SEALED
EPHESIANS 1:13
... ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise
MATTHEW 3:11
He (Jesus) shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost.
JOHN 1:33
The same is he (Jesus) which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
I CORINTHIANS 12:13
By one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,
(at the moment of salvation, the new birth: a spiritual baptism--not water baptism)
So, Jesus gives us the new birth at his discretion when he knows we are believing right, and trusting right. We don't get saved by anything we do. We get saved by trusting in what He did! At Calvary! By putting our faith In his blood.
No one gets saved by just calling on the name of the Lord, apart from hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, believing it, and then trusting in his blood.
Proof? MATTHEW 7:21 (KJV)
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
MATTHEW 7 vs 22
Many
will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
MATTHEW 7 vs 23
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Why would Jesus say that? Because they had never been born again.
Here are sincere people who called upon the name of the lord, and were never saved, Religious people, Lost, Cast into hell! (To burn forever!)
Jesus is very jealous of his gospel. That's why he wrote through Paul in very minute detail what you must believe to do the will of his Father -- to be born again.
Salvation is by God's grace through faith (in his blood),
EPHESIANS 2:8+9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The bloodless gospel which is preached so much today says you can be saved by just receiving Jesus, without understanding about the blood atonement. They say you don't have to know what's going on -- that Jesus will save you because of your sincerity.
It's a lie. Sincerity apart from the knowledge, understanding, and trust in the blood atonement will send You to Hell!Every religionist
sincerely receives Jesus every
Sunday in the Mass, and he is just as lost as Bhudda. Why? He hasn't had
the eyes of his understanding enlightened.
He hasn't heard nor believed the right gospel
before he asked Jesus to come into his heart and
save him. He just received the wrong
Jesus!
So does everyone
in any other religion who recieves
Christ apart from the knowledge of
the substitutionary blood
atonement of Jesus Christ.
JOHN 1:12 says,
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
How do you receive him? Paul explains it. ( See numbers 1-7 listed above:)
JOHN 1:13 says:
Which were born
(speaking about the new birth -- being born again),
|
not of blood |
(this means you don't get the new birth by inheriting it from your parents through their blood),
|
nor of the will of the flesh |
(this means you don't will yourself to heaven, or into salvation, by your own gospel [or a perverted gospel] nor by your deluded sincerity, which does not line up with the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation),
|
nor of the will of man, |
(it means that no other man can bestow upon you the new birth. No church rite, sacrament, or priest can give you the new birth by water baptism
(or anything else),
|
but of God. |
This means that only God can give you the new birth--at his discretion--when he knows you are believing and trusting right! And he will Not give it to you apart from understanding the blood atonement. If God gave just one person the new birth who misunderstood the gospel, or who believed a perverted gospel, but who was totally sincere [though deceived] he would have to give it to everyone! Then he wouldn't be God, because he would be a liar: he would be breaking his word [and God doesn't lie]. If he made just one exception, He would have to change the scriptures and allow everyone to go to heaven on their merit. But God said there is none that doeth good!!
Then there are those who say you can be saved for years and not know it, or that you can doubt your salvation, and still be saved. Doubt is not faith!!! Doubt is the opposite of faith -- as far apart in meaning as:
east is from west,
up is from down,
yesterday is from tomorrow.
There is no testimony in the Bible that any saved man, be he apostle nor disciple, ever doubted his salvation. Every saved man in the new Testament knew he was born again, And knew where he was going when he died! In fact, Paul said in
HEBREWS 11:6,
... without faith it is IMPOSSIBLE to please him:".
According to EPHESIANS 2:8+9, and ROMANS 3:25, God will NOT give the new birth to someone who does not put his faith in the blood atonement of Jesus Christ at Calvary (alone + nothing)!! No matter how sincere he is, if he doubts what Jesus' substitutionary blood atonement at Calvary did for his salvation, Jesus will not give him the new birth.
The problem is with the doubter—not Jesus. Jesus did his part at Calvary, now the doubter must put his faith in what Jesus did for him at Calvary—in his blood atonement. God is not a liar. If God said he washed us from our sins at Calvary, he did! And it is up to us to trust in that fact. If you doubt that fact, you are calling God a liar. And he will not give you the new birth because of your unbelief.
You can not be born again and doubt your salvation. That's not faith!
God does not give you the new birth without giving you assurance from his word.
1 Thessalonians 1:5
For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance!
If you don't know if you are saved, you are not!!!
God is not going to give you the new birth behind your back, he is not going to sneak it in on you without your knowledge, and hide it from you. The problem is not God's, it's yours.
Salvation is by Grace through faith in his blood! You have a free will. It's your choice. You can choose to put your faith in his blood, or you can choose not to. If you don't, you are not saved. If you doubt, you are not placing your faith in his blood! as sufficient to take you to heaven.
If you are truly born again, you can not be deceived about salvation. You can not be talked out of it! God knows you better than anyone, and can see what you truly believe and trust in; and he can see the future -- what you will believe and trust about the
substitutionary blood atonement of Jesus Christ.
Romans 4:21
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
Your doubts are then not faith, but unbelief.
There are those who say that you can believe in your heart but doubt in your mind. This is schizophrenia -- dual personalities. This is a trick from the Devil to deceive you. If you divide yourself into two personalities, mind and heart (I don't care what you call them, they are two opposing personalities), then you are out of contact with reality.
The Bible nowhere preaches such insanity. People who think that you can believe one way in your heart, and another way in your mind, or intellect, have a serious mental problem. The Bible says:
James 1:8
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
James 1:7
For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
It is a sign of unbelief, not of faith. And you can't be saved apart from
faith In his blood!
The Holy Spirit wrote in I JOHN 5:13,
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the son of God;
that ye may know ye have eternal life...
Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he (Jesus) which hath begun a good work (salvation) in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ
2 Corinthians 5:6 (KJV) Therefore we are always confident, knowing...
No doubting here.
Again, if you know enough to be saved, you can not be talked out of it later. If you could, it wouldn't be faith, but a delusion.
The heart is a physical muscle, pumping blood throughout the body. It has no ability to think, or to have faith. The Bible speaks of belief in the heart as in a comparison. Just as the physical heart is the center of your circulatory system, so then is the center of your being -- the real you, called a heart. You are a trinity, a body, soul, and a spirit. The heart of your being is that personality inside your body that thinks, feels, believes, makes decisions, and has a consciousness of itself and of God. It is not physical, it is spiritual. But it is a singular spirit, not a dual personality. It is what you really think and believe and trust. It makes decisions of its own free will, and is accountable to God for its actions. The Bible says,
JEREMIAH 17:9:
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
It's not talking about your physical pump, it's describing you!
We are all sinners, that's why we need a savior. When the Bible says,
Belief is in the heart, and he (Jesus) shall dwell in your hearts by faith, he is not talking about your physical pump in opposition to your mind or intellect, he is talking about your soul, body, and spirit.
Jesus doesn't want your evil, desperately wicked heart. That's why it is wrong to tell people "to give your heart to Jesus, and you'll be saved."
That's not the gospel. Jesus wants you to be born again!
The Bible says in Ephesians 3:17 (KJV):
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith...
Not by asking!!! Not by sincerity!!! Not by a priest!!! Not by your commitment!!!
Not by your parent's beliefs!!! Not by Water Baptism!!! Not by good works!!!
Not by your religion!!! Not by asking him into your heart!!!!
Jesus will not dwell in your heart by any other way than by faith!!!
Faith in his blood atonement at Calvary!!!
At the precise moment God gives you the new birth, Jesus baptizes you with the Holy Spirit into the spiritual body of Jesus. The Holy Spirit comes into your body, and melds with your soul, and makes a new creature inside of you [a spiritual creature] which he then circumcises [or cuts away] from your fleshly body. But, he doesn't actually dwell in your physical heart, he dwells spiritually inside your body with the entire perfect shape of your body. This new creature stays inside your body until the rapture—when your physical body shall be changed into one like Jesus' Spiritual body. Immortal. This spiritual circumcision which Jesus performs at the moment of the new birth is the operation of God described in :
COLOSSIANS 2:ll:
...In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands,
in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
The bloodless gospel preached in so many churches and religions today leaves out this witness, but the Bible is careful to preach the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and the order that leads to true salvation. You alone are responsible to God for your faith and trust. Are you believing the blood-less gospel (a perverted gospel), or the real gospel that God revealed to Paul in I CORINTHIANS 15:1-4? Which says:
(in ROMANS, GALATIANS, EPHESIANS, HEBREWS, etc)...I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you
(in ROMANS, GALATIANS, EPHESIANS, etc),...By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you
unless ye have believed in vain
(a perverted gospel--one which includes your own self-righteousness)For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received
(from God),
how that Christ died for our sins
(He washed us from our sins in his own blood)
(Not according to your private interpretations);according to the scriptures
that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES.
If you ask a real born again Christian for his testimony, he will not get suspicious of your motive for doing so. Nor will he get mad and cut you off with a negative response. He will be glad! and joyfully tell you that Jesus washed him from his sins in his (Jesus') own blood at Calvary. He will tell you that he put his faith in Jesus' blood!
He wouldn't say something like:
"I asked him to come into my heart and save me." He wouldn't say, "I hope so."
Or, "I think so." Nor, "Yes, but I doubt, I wish I could know for certain."
A real born again Christian would willingly tell you the who, what, where, when, why, and how of his new birth (and he would know these beyond any shadow of doubt!), because he would want to glorify his savior, and would want to be sure that you also were born again. He would not want to hide this from you. There are no secret Christians. He would praise Jesus for what Jesus did for him, not what he did for Jesus.
The mark of a true Christian is:
his testimony will line up with the word of truth, the gospel of his salvation, according to the scriptures. Beware of those who call themselves Christians, but whose testimonies reflect what they did, or do, such as "I invited," or "I asked," or "I committed my life to Christ." It's not what we did that saves us, it's what JESUS did at CALVARY that saves us.
The greatest proof that I have been born again is that Jesus washed me from my sins (all my sins, past, present, and future) in his own blood at Calvary!
We must hear the word of truth,
the gospel of our salvation,, understand it, believe
it, and then have faith in
his blood atonement!
to be saved -- and in that order! You can’t
understand it later, and then apply it back to your life before, and say you
were saved but just didn’t know it until now.
Now that you understand enough to get saved. Are you saved?
Jesus told Nicodemus in JOHN 3:3 and JOHN 3:7:
Ye Must be BORN AGAIN.
Have faith in his Blood Atonement!
Believe that He washed us from our sins in his own blood, and that His sacrifice at Calvary is sufficient to take us to Heaven!
